The opposing team had taken the lead at Gillette Stadium with QB Fields rushing for a five-yard touchdown to cap the New York's opening drive
But the home team responded in the second period as Henderson rushed for two short rushing scores before the running back grabbed a reception from Drake Maye at the rear of the end zone halfway into the third quarter to make it 21 to 7
"It was a crucial moment for him stepping up, and it's been excellent for him to keep gaining experience," the quarterback said of the rookie. "He wants to be outstanding."
Justin Fields threw to Metchie late in the third quarter to close the gap for the visitors but Andy Borregales kicked a two field goals in the fourth quarter as the Patriots wrapped up the triumph
